Preview a README or Markdown file the way GitHub shows it: task-list checkboxes, tables, front matter, and a heading outline to jump through long docs.
Also covers: Markdown viewer ยท README preview ยท MD file viewer
Paste a README, open a .md file, or load one from a URL. The preview renders as you type.
Task lists show as checkboxes, code blocks are syntax-highlighted with line numbers and a Copy button, front matter shows as a table, and every heading gets an anchor. Switch to Preview only to read a long document full width.
Pick a heading from Jump to and the preview scrolls straight to it. When you're done, download a standalone .html page, save it as a PDF, or copy the rendered HTML.
It covers what most READMEs use: CommonMark, tables, ~~strikethrough~~, autolinked URLs, task lists, raw HTML like <details>, and YAML front matter shown as a table. Code blocks get syntax colors for any language named on the fence, like ```python, in GitHub Dark by default; the menu next to the language label switches every block to GitHub Light, One Dark Pro, Dracula, Nord, or Solarized Light. Footnotes, math, Mermaid diagrams, and alerts like > [!NOTE] aren't rendered.
Leave it off for README and docs files: GitHub joins lines in a paragraph there. Turn it on for text written like a GitHub comment or issue, where every line break is kept.
Yes. Raw HTML is allowed so the preview matches GitHub, but it's cleaned with DOMPurify first, which removes scripts, event handlers, and javascript: links.
Download .html saves a single page with its own styles, so it looks right when opened anywhere, with syntax colors and line numbers kept. Save as PDF opens your browser's print dialog with just the document; choose Save as PDF as the destination. Text in the PDF stays selectable and searchable.
No. Everything runs in your browser, and nothing is stored, so reloading the page clears it.
Text & code
Compare two texts or code files side by side, with changed words highlighted. Ignore whitespace or case, and export a unified .diff patch that git apply accepts.
Count
Count words, characters, sentences, paragraphs, and lines as you type, with reading and speaking time. Check text against X, SEO title, and meta description limits.
Case
Convert text to UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, and more, line by line.
Cleanup
Clean up messy text: remove extra spaces, blank lines, invisible characters, and HTML tags, straighten quotes, and rejoin hard-wrapped lines.
Lines
Delete repeated lines from a list and keep the original order. Choose case sensitivity, whether to ignore surrounding spaces, and whether to keep the first or last copy.
Lines
Delete blank lines from text, or collapse runs of blank lines down to one so paragraphs stay separated.
