Sizes are audio data only; tags and cover art add to it (a 600 Γ 600 JPEG cover is typically 50β150 KB). VBR and lossless sizes are averages β the real size depends on the music.
Audio bitrates use decimal kilobits: 1 kbps = 1,000 bits per second, so 128 kbps is 16,000 bytes per second.
File size, bitrate or duration.
Pick a common format or type any bitrate; the uncompressed PCM helper works out WAV bitrates.
Size in bytes = bitrate (bits per second) Γ duration Γ· 8. A 3Β½-minute song at 320 kbps is 320,000 Γ 210 Γ· 8 = 8.4 MB.
44,100 samples Γ 16 bits Γ 2 channels = 1,411.2 kbps, about 10.6 MB per minute.
Windows divides by 1,048,576 and calls it MB (really MiB). 100 MB is 95.4 MiB.
Variable-bitrate files spend more bits on complex passages, so the average depends on the music. The presets show typical averages.
Edit
Cut an MP3, WAV or other audio file to the part you want: drag across the waveform, fine-tune the times, and save as MP3 or WAV β in your browser.
Edit
Join several audio files into one, in the order you choose, with optional gaps or crossfades β mixed formats and sample rates are handled for you.
Edit
Split an audio file into parts at points you click, into equal parts, every N seconds or at silences, and download each part or all of them as a ZIP.
Edit
Make audio louder or quieter by decibels, normalise to a peak level, or to a loudness target (LUFS) for Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music or podcasts.
Edit
Add a fade-in and fade-out to audio with linear, exponential, logarithmic, equal-power or S-curve shapes, and hear the result before saving.
Edit
Speed up or slow down audio without changing the pitch β or tape-style, where pitch follows speed β from 0.25Γ to 4Γ.
